Obama Rally

Harper & I had a once in a lifetime experience, we went to the Barack Obama rally held yesterday at the Fort Worth Convention Center. It was absolutely amazing! I picked her up from school a little early and we headed downtown. We were very lucky to get parking in the Convention Center parking garage. We got in line around 3:15pm and since the doors we not open until 6pm we had a wait on our hands! I came prepared. I packed a bag with the essentials:
1.blanket (to sit on and to keep Harper warm as she gets cold easily)
2. Diet Coke (mama needs her caffine!)
3. Sour Skittles
4. Cards
5. Paper/Pen (keep Harp occupied)
6. Phone
7. Camera
8. Credit Card

They ended up letting everyone in early (around 4:45). I decided we should sit in the stands instead of going down on the floor so we found some really good seats (right hand side of the stage). Great view! Now it was time to get Harper something to eat. The concession stands were open but there was a problem: CASH ONLY. So I was now on the hunt for an ATM. Not an easy quest. First of all, no one knew exactly where the ATM was located and secondly, volunteers were blocking off some of the Convention Center so with some creative word magic I was allowed to go beyond the "restricted" area. Finally I found the illusive ATM and made my way back to get Harper a hot dog (after first getting re-wanded). The rest is just a lot of waiting. The crowd did the wave every now and then. Harper really liked that! Around 8:10pm Barack finally made his way to the stage. I can not even express how great & insiring his speech was so I won't even try. Trust me, it was good!!!! I hope Harper rememebers this night forever, I know I will!
